Procrastination as a Baby (A Baby Pic)

Procrastination is the name of one of two major antagonists in my children’s picture book, “The Can-Do Karate Kid.” He is depicted as a blue and green snail. Not seen in the book, here’s a picture of Procrastination as a Baby.

Pretty cute, huh? That’s how he gets you. Procrastination as a baby is small and harmless. When you’re young, he becomes your friend. As he grows, Procrastination becomes known for saying things like, “Don’t do it now, you can do it later.” He convinces you to put things off. If you’re lucky, like our main character, Makoto, you will realize that Procrastination can cause trouble in your life. Maybe then you’ll learn to find your power and fight off Procrastination like Makoto does.

Here is the dictionary definition of the word procrastination. And here, you can read more about how Procrastination plays into my first children’s picture book and its making.
